This or That?

I was nominated for the “This or That” challenge by life & mental health blogger Uncustomary Housewife Elizabeth Mosley-Banks. I thought it was a super cute idea to get to get to know other bloggers better, so here we go!

 

22 Questions:

 

 

Question 1: Shower in the morning or evening?

Evening. I think it’s nice to have a routine that lets me wind down.

 

Question 2: City center or close to nature?

Close to nature, I guess. The city makes me anxious with all of the crowds and traffic. I like a little more space. Plus, nature is just so pretty.

 

 

^Kinda why I love Chapel Hill & UNC’s campus: has city but lots of nature throughout… like the quads, arboretum, & nature trails.

 

Question 3: Bright colors or neutrals?

I love both have their place, but I’m really into neutrals. I like neutrals with little pops of color to mix it up.

 

Question 4: Spring or Autumn?

AUTUMN. I am THRILLED for the Fall. Why?

The crunch of leaves under my boots.

The smell of cinnamon baked apples or pumpkin bread in the oven.

The creativity of pumpkin carving.

The feel of a cup of hot coffee on a crisp, Fall morning.

The brilliant, colorful shades of the changing leaves.

Soft sweaters, light cardigans, & boots.

Pumpkin. Spice. Lattes. (Yes, much basic, I know.)

 

 

Question 5: Mint or cinnamon?

Cinnamon. It is comforting. It is home.

 

Question 6: Planned or spontaneous?

I like a plan. Always. I can have wiggle-room within a pretty loose plan, but having no plan is very anxiety-provoking. I went on a trip with someone who hadn’t even booked the hotel yet… and we were ON THE WAY. That is certainly not the way I would have done that haha. I associate spontaneous with mania… yikes…

 

 

Question 7: A movie at home or at the cinema?

I love movie nights in with blankets & cuddles. However, I also love the cinema (THEY HAVE REALLY NICE RECLINERS NOW)… and their popcorn. So, depends on whether or not I want to get out of my PJs or be in public, I guess.

 

Question 8: Espresso or latte?

I’ll take one hazelnut latte, please.

 

 

Question 9: Hugs or kisses?

Hugs. Bosnians have the cultural greeting with kisses on both cheeks… but, even though I have seen it for years, I’m not comfortable being that close to people. Let’s stick to hugs.

 

Question 10: Spicy or mild food?

Mild. I’m weak.

 

Question 11: Leather or lace?

I cannot decide. I have a deep red leather jacket which I LOVE. But, also, lace has the ability to make an outfit elegant & classy or downright sexy.

 

 

Question 12: Overdressed or underdressed?

Overdressed. I would rather look like I put more effort into my outfit/hair/makeup/etc than not enough. Plus, it can be fun to get all dressed up. 🙂

 

Question 13: Adventure or comfort?

I used to like to play it very safe, but now I’m trying to push myself beyond my comfort zone. Adventure it is…

 

Question 14: TV series or movie?

TV series are SUCH an investment. They go on for years (unless they are cancelled I guess). I don’t even really watch TV anymore, so I wouldn’t keep up with the weekly episodes. Unless it is on Netflix for me to binge-watch, I’m not interested. Movie.

 

Question 15: Rock or country music?

It’s the summer time, so I’ll say country. Let’s play some Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, & Jimmy Buffet… or STRAWBERRY WINNNNE.

 

Question 16: Red or white wine?

White. I think red is too bitter.

 

Question 17: Working alone or in a team?

I understand the advantages of working with others, but I would prefer to work solo. I don’t like having to rely on others. I know that I can push myself to meet certain standards or deadlines… I can’t for sure know that others will do the same.

 

Question 18: Swimming or sunbathing?

Depends on my energy level. At the beach, I like to do both. I love reading & tanning, but I also love swimming in the ocean.

 

 

Question 19: Fast food or sit-down restaurant?

Sit-down restaurant is more fancy, so its not an everyday kind of thing. I like sit-down, but sometimes I just don’t have the time.

 

Question 20: Matched or mismatched socks?

Matched. Definitely matched.

 

Question 21: Dancing or singing?

In dance class, we were not supposed to sing while dancing… but… let’s be real. That’s the way all of the pop stars I grew up with did it (think Britney Spears), so that’s how I wanna do it. 😉 BOTH.

 

 

Question 22: Phone or the internet?

If my phone didn’t have internet, I think I’d rarely use it. Internet for sure. Plus, you can use internet to call people, if needed.
